Ed Sherwood

ARMY LTC, AUTHOR
Ed Sherwood

Sherwood served 20 years in the Army, retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1988 from a medical disability likely caused by Agent Orange exposure. He earned his second degree, an MBA, in 1976 while on active duty. Communication and business skills he learned at Georgia State served Sherwood well after honorable discharge. He taught business courses at Clayton State College (now Clayton State University), and he started a ministry, Friendship Bible Church, leading services in Fayette County, south of Atlanta, from 1989-94. When 9/11 galvanized the nation, Sherwood again supported the military with civil service duty at Fort McPherson, Ga. The Sherwoods have two adult daughters, a deceased adult son, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. They live in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Sherwood’s book “Courage Under Fire: The 101st Airborne’s Hidden Battle at Tam Ky” can be purchased at Amazon and other major online retailers.
