WHAT IS THE VETERANS APPRECIATION DINNER?

HOSTED BY LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE ASCENSION

We are thankful for our veterans and want the opportunity to honor — and serve — those who served. Lutheran Church of the Ascension in Atlanta is hosting a dinner open to everyone. Veterans and their guests are free. Everyone else can purchase tickets. 100% of the ticket sales go to the Christ-centered ministry Warriors Set Free which is helping veterans, military, and our first responders by reminding them of their true identity in Christ. There will be a gourmet meal — including appetizer and dessert — prepared by a veteran who was a cook in the Army. There will also be prize giveaways. Join us for a night of fun, food, and fellowship.

Expected Dinner Menu TBD, But Here’s a Typical Menu:

Mixed salad greens with dressing options
Homemade sourdough bruschetta
Lasagna
Fettuccine alfredo (for those with dietary restrictions or desiring an alternative)
Dessert options including chocolate torte and seasonal cheesecake
KIDS: pizza and veggie tray

GOURMET FOOD

Prepared by Army veteran + chef Jim Schoellen who has cooked meals for numerous large events.

Lutheran Chuch of the Ascension is located at 4000 Roswell Road NE in Atlanta. It can be found atop the hill between the Goodwill plaza and the Pike's Nursery on Roswell Road and is nestled off Laurel Forest Circle NE to the right as you're driving up the hill.
